PHILOSOPHY

Singleton Family Support Scheme Inc. is a community based organization incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act since 1989.

The organization exists to provide a service to families under stress or in crisis who request assistance.  We do this through our  Mission and Vision Statements.

MISSION STATEMENT

Singleton Family Support Scheme exists to support Families to become confident and empowered to make positive, independent decisions.
We do this through:

• Counselling and individual assistance either in the home or at the Centre.
• Practical and personal support.
• Groupwork.
• Playgroup with a difference.
• Information and referral.
• Advocacy.    
• Education.       
• Local court support        

VISION STATEMENT

Committed to building a strong Community where families are supported and empowered to reach their individual potential.

Supporting Family wellbeing in  a safe and respectful environment with access to information, resources and other Community Services.

Strengthening service provision by linking and networking with other Service Providers.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

To provide practical and emotional support to families and individuals in the community by providing a range of services.

To help clients of Singleton Family Support Scheme Inc., identify areas of concern and make appropriate changes, develop skills, self esteem and self confidence and gain knowledge so that they may function more effectively.

To enable clients of Singleton Family Support Scheme Inc. to develop sufficient skills and self confidence so that they may become increasingly independent of welfare agencies and capable of maintaining themselves as a stable family unit through occasions of stress and crisis.

Support the involvement of  clients of the Service in the management of the Scheme, with the exception of Executive roles of the Management Committee.

PROJECT FUNDING

Funded by Department of Community Services under the Community Services Grants Program in accordance with Service Specifications.
